Tragedy struck in Gujarat as a boat, carrying a group of 27 foreign students, capsized, resulting in the loss of 16 young lives. The ill-fated boat had a total of 34 occupants onboard.
Up to 10 children have been saved after a boat carrying children overturned in Vadodara’s Harni Motnath Lake on Thursday. Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel has expressed his condolences for this tragic event. “More than 10 individuals have been rescued so far,” stated Gujarat Minister Rushikesh Patel.
Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge described the incident as ‘heart-wrenching’ and urged the state government to expedite relief efforts. “The news of the unfortunate loss of numerous students, including teachers, in the boat capsizing incident in Vadodara, Gujarat, is truly heart-wrenching.
Many students are still unaccounted for in this accident.”
Vadodara MP Ranjanben Dhananjay Bhatt emphasized that appropriate measures will be implemented in response to this matter.
Kharge urged the Gujarat government and administration to accelerate the relief and rescue operations, leaving no stone unturned in their efforts to safeguard the lives of the students. During this sorrowful time, we extend our support to the grieving families and offer our heartfelt condolences.

Gujarat’s education minister, Kuber Dindor, has informed that a tragic incident occurred where six children lost their lives after a boat, carrying school students, capsized in a lake. Currently, rescue operations are actively being conducted by the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), fire brigade personnel, and other relevant agencies.
